Dr. James Wallace
James Gilbert Wallace, M.D. started the University Medical Group Plastic Surgery Division in 2005 with Dr. James Fowler. He has been affiliated with the Greenville Hospital System since 1982. Dr. Wallace completed his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Emory University Affiliated Hospitals.
Dr. James Wallace has 40 years of plastic surgery experience!
Dr. Wallace has traveled the world to share his surgical abilities. He was a Brigade Surgeon for the U.S. Army Medical Corps in Berlin. He has also been part of the Interplast surgical team in Peru, Nicaragua, Vietnam, and most recently, India. Interplast serves underprivileged men, women, and children with reconstructive procedures, including cleft lip and palate and burn reconstruction. Dr. Wallace currently holds the position of Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He is also a Consultant for Plastic Surgery at the Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children in Greenville.
Dr. Wallace is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, the South Carolina Medical Association and the Greenville County Medical Society.
