Dr. James Fowler
James Lyman Fowler, III, M.D. started the University Medical Group Plastic Surgery Division with Dr. James Wallace in 2005 in Greenville, South Carolina. The practice is affiliated with the Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center where Dr. Fowler completed his five year general surgery residency. He began his medical career attending the Medical University of South Carolina for medical school. He completed his plastic surgery residency with the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Chattanooga Unit and one year of fellowship training at the University of South Florida in Tampa for a total of eight years of surgical training. Dr. Fowler is currently the Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery for UMG. He holds the position of Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.

Dr. Fowler is certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and is currently a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, the American Society of Bariatric Plastic Surgeons, the South Carolina Medical Association, and the Greenville County Medical Society.
Dr. Fowler performs a wide spectrum of surgeries, specializing in cosmetic breast enhancements, breast reconstruction, cosmetic body contouring, as well as post-bariatric procedures.
